Fort Lean have announced the release of their second single, I Don’t Mind, off their upcoming debut album, Quiet Day, which is due for release in the very, very near future. A group of five Brooklyn boys, Fort Lean have managed to imprint their own style on the surf-/garage-rock that seems to be enjoying a revival of sorts at the moment – their self-titled EP was released in 2011 and was filled to the brim with sun-drenched, guitar-driven surfer rock more akin to a band hailing from the Golden state as opposed to New York.

Since then they have come out with a further two releases, a single and an EP, both released in 2012, but now they are nearing the iconic moment in any band’s career as their debut’s release grows ever closer.

As part of the build-up, the group have announced they will playing an in-store show at NYC’s Rough Trade store on 21st of February with the decidedly alternative group NGHBRS.
