Detroit duo Dale Earnhardt Jr Jr. have debuted a new lyric video for their track ‘James Dean’. The video stars Instagram dance video master Adam Carpenter, who “excels at a style of dance that manages to be goofy and graceful at the same time, perfect for a mellow song that wrestles with the notion of what it means to be cool.”
Esquire said the band, consisting of Josh Epstein and Daniel Zott, has “embraced a mellower side perfect for the change in seasons” with ‘James Dean.’ The track has acquired over 1.5 million plays on Spotify, reached #11 on the Spotify ‘Viral 50’ for the most shared music across the platform, and went Top 25 on Billboard’s Trending Chart. It is available for purchase here, and is accompanied by their cover of The Tallest Man On Earth’s song “Revelation Blues,” which Paste called one of the “Best Cover Songs of 2014.”
The band recently wrapped up a fall North American tour, and are putting the finishing touches on their third album, due in 2015.
