Cloud Control first gained attention with their stunning debut Bliss Release, winning them fans around the world. After the success of Bliss Release, the band is now back with its most unreserved and talented album to date, Dream Cave, out September 17th in the U.S.
Originally hailing from Australia, the band is now residing in the UK. Dream Cave undoubtedly marks the evolution of Cloud Control’s elegant, psychedelic pop sound, a growth that is the result of three years spent living, writing and playing in the UK.
Contrasting the home recorded stylings of Bliss Release, the band escaped to the countryside for the new record to work with producer and engineer Barny Barnicott (Arctic Monkeys, Temper Trap, Franz Ferdinand.) The resulting Dream Cave captures an utterly unique sound, an addictive swirl that blurs the psychedelic guitar pop with soaring West Coast harmonies.
Cloud Control recently premiered the hypnotic new video for their track “Moonrabbit,” which Clash Music described as “Three and a half minutes of other-worldly pop.” The song is original and dreamy, filled with warm electronics and reverb-soaked percussion.
Frontman Alister Write says on Dream Cave; “We’re all feeling pretty proud of it. I think that’s all you can do, try and make something you like and put it in the world – maybe people will like it, maybe you can change a couple of perspectives.”
Cloud Control will be joining Metronomy on a North American tour this spring, with shows kicking off in Atlanta.
