Vukovi are Hamish, Jason, Colin and Janine, a powerful four piece from Glasgow/Ayrshire.
The three boys were originally in a band called Wolves who decided to bring a girl to the mix.
Formed in September 2010 they renamed the band “Vukovi” (Serbian for wolves)
The band had only been together 3 months before getting their first track played on Radio 1. Vukovi started topping a lot of critics polls for best new band which led to their first ever headline show selling out in advance.
Influences ranging from Foals, Florence Welch, Sia, Rage Against the Machine and Incubus have seen the tight, muscular riff machine Vukovi develop a powerful live show supporting the likes of Funeral For A Friend, Twin Atlantic, Lower than Atlantis and Crystal Castles.
Vukovi have also made appearances at the likes of T in the Park, Hard Rock Calling, Wickerman, Belladrum, Hit the Deck, Live at Leeds and British Summer Time Festival at Hyde Park. As well as being chosen for BBC introducing track of the week with Huw Stevens.
New Single So Long Gone is released on 29th September. The guys shot the video for the single in Glasgow’s most iconic venue The Barrowlands
Vukovi look primed for big things this year”
“I think they’ve got what it takes to do a Biffy Clyro or a Twin Atlantic and break through into the mainstream”
