With just under a week to go until the UK’s best fancy dress soiree hits the Isle of Wight, what can Bestival ticket holders expect this year?
A Razor Sharp Line-up
Sizzling beats, slick guitars, old school favourites and electronic gold dust are all on the menu. Live performances from Chic, Outkast and The Pharcyde will transport revellers back in time while Brit newcomers Glass Animals and Wolf Alice keep things fresh.
Treat your hungover noggin to music therapy from Bonobo, London Grammar and Nick Bulvey then come sundown swap the downtempo niceties for savage guitars and infectious bass courtesy of Foals, Disclosure and Basement Jaxx.
DJ sets are part and parcel of Bestival. Stay up ’til the small hours and howl at the moon with legends like Jackmaster, David Rodigan and Derrick Carter bringing the noise.
Desert Island Disco
Past Bestival themes have included fantasy, space, under the sea, pop stars, rock stars and divas. It’s a bit of a giggle and everyone gets involved. Yes that’s right, even people who usually despise fancy dress have a crack at the whip and go all out. This year’s theme is desert island disco so it’s time to haulaxe to the sun, grab your best tropical frock and garnish with glitter, bamboo and loadsa sass.
If you’ve got enough pennies to rub together, Bestival’s a great place for eating. Unrivalled festival grub is the aim and it goes by the name of Feast Collective. Seduce your tastebuds with big ass, meaty hotdogs inspired by the big apple, Savoyard cheese fondue, gargantuan superfood wraps and everything else under the gastronomic sun. Please sir, can we have some more?
Of course, we could harp on about all the magic Bestival’s cooking up until the cows come home, but the only way to properly experience it is to grab a ticket and see for yourself.
So what are you waiting for? Snap up the last few golden tickets here. Tick tock.
