With the countdown to Longitude 2014 already under way we thought we would keep you updated with some news from some of this years line up.

CHVRCHES take over Longitude Facebook page
Following their superb sold out show at the Olympia Theatre last week CHVRCHES will be taking over the Longitude Facebook page tomorrow, Thursday 13th March, at 1pm to answer questions from the fans!

Son Lux releases new EP Alternate Worlds
The EP reimagines four songs from Lanterns, and includes a collaboration with chart topping New Zealander Lorde. These exquisite reinventions traverse unfamiliar terrain within rememberedlandscapes. Their world is both alien and familiar.

James Vincent McMorrow soundtracks Failte Ireland viral video
Failte Ireland have released an animated postcard showcasing Ireland’s strengths and highlights the qualities that make this country a great place to be and includes some famous places and beautiful sights in Ireland along with some of our most famous sporting heroes Katie Taylor, Brian O’Driscoll and Packie Bonner (my personal favourite bit when he saves the penalty against Romania) showing In just one day the video has over 235,000 views.

Winner ofBest New Festival and Best Medium Festival at the Irish Festival Awards, Longitude returns to Marlay Park from July 18-20th.

Ben Howard will headline Friday night, Disclosure take top billing on Saturday while Massive Attack bring the weekend to an close on Sunday night.

In addition to that festival goers will be able to some of the best breakthrough acts across the weekend such as:
