Oakland rapper Clyde Carson released his highly anticipated album Playboy on iTunes last week.  The album was highly anticipated by fans after a string of song leaks, including the recent “Tell That Bitch Drive” featuring Game. Thankfully the album more than lives up to the hype, featuring dark, heavy beats and strong collaborations, as well as strong praise from critics.

The release comes on the heels of the new single “Mile Away,” featuring Master P. XXL Magazine called the song “perfect rider music” guaranteed to “slap in the whip.” The heavy song received praise from many, with StupidDope describes the song as “a rather dope, somewhat dark number pushed by menacing synths, bouncing melodic elements, and some street shaking drums that make for something mean.”

The new song follows previous Playboy song leaks including the DJ Mustard produced “Bring ‘Em Out” and “Pour Up.” “I hope the fans dig the new album,” says Carson. “I’ll be releasing a lot of new material this year including S.T.S.A. Part II that will be coming soon after Playboy drops.”
