Dutch festival Best Kept Secret has just announced the first wave of acts to head-up 2015’s festivities in the small southern town of Hilvarenbeek, with The Libertines, Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and alt-J to fill the headline slots over the course of the weekend.

Perhaps not the best of headliners – I speak based on an incredibly disappointing set by alt-J at 2012’s Green Man festival – this promising and relatively unknown festival (hence the appropriate name) has bags of great bands in the wings, including the likes of The Tallest Man On Earth, Chet Faker, Death Cab For Cutie, Little May, First Aid Kit, Alvvays, Bass Drum of Death, Wolf Alice… You get the idea.

With still over 30 bands to be announced, this is already shaping up to be one of the more promising line-ups of the summer. Tickets will go on general sale this Saturday, the 7th of February and for a weekend ticket with own-tent camping it’ll cost £111.10 – admittedly this and the cost of travelling to Holland may put people off, but I’m willing to bet that those who do will enjoy a uniquely memorable weekend in the Dutch woods.
