MCD are delighted to announce that  Arctic Monkeys are to play Marlay Park on Saturday 12 July, alongside special guest Jake Bugg, with Miles Kane and Royal Blood also on the bill.

Tickets went on sale on 31st January, and are priced at €61.50 including booking fee, available from and all other usual outlets.

Last summer saw Arctic Monkeys play major festivals such as Glastonbury and Electric Picnic, as well as selling out shows at London’s Earls Court last October.

The band’s fifth studio album, AM, was released last September and stormed the charts, reaching the number one spot in the UK, Ireland and many more countries.

It was one of the fastest selling albums in 2013, and nominated for the Mercury Prize.

Arctic Monkeys are up for many awards at this year’s 2014 Brit Awards, including ‘Best British Group‘ and ‘Best Album of the Year‘, and hold eight nominations at the upcoming NME Awards.

2013 saw Jake Bugg play over 200 shows worldwide, highlights including opening the Pyramid Stage at the prestigious Glastonbury Festival in front of 100,000 people, and performing at the 20th Nobel Peace Prize concert in Norway.

Jake Bugg has been nominated for ‘Best British Male’ at the Brit Awards this year.

Miles Kane’s debut solo album, ‘Colour Of The Trap’ was released in 2011. The Last Shadow Puppets member’s second solo album ‘Don’t Forget Who You Are’ was released last June.

Brightonian two-piece, Royal Blood, formed in early 2013.   They are named as ‘Sound Of 2014’ by the BBC.
