In 2013 Black Star Riders toured their debut album ‘All Hell Breaks Loose’ and took the rock world by storm receiving critical acclaim from both the rock press and their fans for their amazing live shows. Now with the liniment release of their second album ‘The Killer Instinct’ Black Star Riders’ have set out on a co-headlining ’Live And Loud’ tour with ‘Europe’ also supporting on the tour are all girl Scottish rock band ‘The Amorettes’.

Black Star Riders is a rock band formed in December 2012, when members of the most recent line-up of Thin Lizzy decided to record new material, but chose not to release it under the Thin Lizzy name. While Thin Lizzy will continue on an occasional basis, Black Star Riders is a full-time band, described as “the next step in the evolution of the Thin Lizzy story”.

Tonight is the second night of a two date stint at The O2 ABC in Glasgow…both sold out…both rammed to the back doors, a healthy crowd warmly welcome ‘The Amorettes onto a tight stage. The girls make good use of what little room they have and play an excellent set of great solid rock numbers reminiscent to early ‘Girls School’… The large crowd love them.

Now the crowd are in the mood for some good rock’n’roll and Black Star Riders are just the band to deliver…..

‘Bound For Glory’ from their debut album opens a loud set and from a smoke filled stage appears front man ‘Ricky Warwick’ to take the controls……

Jailbreak is the first of seven Lizzy tracks in the set and the crowd go apeshit. Black Star Riders deliver the new songs with a freshness and enthusiasm obviously enjoying the new material…’Soldierstown’, ‘Finest Hour’ and ‘Killer Instinct” all amazing but it has to be said the loudest applause was kept for the Thin Lizzy songs ‘Are You ready’, ‘Rosalie’ and ‘The Boys Are Back In Town’… Black Start Riders take the applause of the sold out crowd and leave the stage in true rock’n’roll style…follow that ’Europe’!!!!!
